After several years at Belgian mag The Word where I got to know magazine-making from the ground up, I have been working as a freelance journalist, copywriter and translator for different publications and agencies in Belgium and Germany.
I mainly write about art, culture, music, design and food. Having lived more than a decade in Brussels, I know the city's local scenes inside-out.
Another focus of my work is Iceland, where I spent three months doing research for a book mapping out the country’s vibrant art landscape through interviews with gallerists, artists, curators and collectors. "Isle of art - a journey through Iceland's art scene" was released in April 2019. You can order it here.
In 2014 I launched independent online magazine See you there, putting forward Belgium’s cultural scene. In this context I also curated the exhibition “No place like home” at Brussels Art Department.
I speak German, English, French and a tiny bit of Icelandic.
